Our Story
I’m Sacha, founder of The French Candle Co. Together with my husband Michael, we live and work in the heart of rural France, with what might be a slightly excessive passion for candles.
The French Candle Co. was born from our love of France — not only its magnificent châteaux and interiors steeped in history, but also those little moments that make it so special.
A coffee on a terrace, a stroll through a village market, the scent of pine trees warmed by the sun, or a pastry discovered around the corner of a quiet street.
It’s this France that we try to capture through fragrance.
In Boussac, in the Creuse
It’s here in our workshop in Boussac, in the Creuse, that we imagine and make our scented creations.
Every fragrance begins with an idea — a place, a season, a memory, or simply a small moment of life in France that we want to tell a story about.
Our candles are hand-poured in small batches, and every creation is made with care, from choosing the fragrance to the final details.
We don’t simply want to scent a room. We want to create those little moments when a fragrance brings back a memory, a place or an emotion.

A season. A home. A journey. A person. A moment we thought we had forgotten.
That’s what we love about fragrance — the way it holds onto memories and tells a story without saying a word.
And we still have so many stories left to tell.
