On May 1, 1561, it is said that a young Charles IX was gifted a sprig of lily of the valley ( Muget) from one of his knights as a good luck token. The king liked the idea so much that he decreed that the blooms should be distributed every year to each of the ladies of his court. Word soon spread, and the practice was embraced beyond the palace gates. And thus began in France the Fête du Muguet, otherwise known as May Day.
Elevate your surroundings with the delicate and sophisticated aroma of our Charles IX wax melts. This elegant fragrance is a delightful bouquet of sweet-smelling freesias and delicate muget, perfectly intertwined with the luscious scent of ripened pears and delicate rose. This light floral elegance offers a truly enchanting aroma creating a fragrance that is both fresh and refined.
Wax melts are in essence a wickless candle, a scented wax that you place in a wax warmer. This gradually warms the wax until melted and the wax will then fill your home with aroma. They are perfect for trying a new fragrance as they come in smaller sizes, a great way to test if you'd like to buy a candle or not. Unlike candles, the wax does not evaporate; only the scent dissipates. Once you can no longer smell the fragrance, you can throw away your used wax and start another cube in the same fragrance or new scent. Our wax melts are designed to provide a long burn time, with each one carefully hand poured and infused with luscious fragrances.

Candle Care
Candle Care
*Before lighting your candle, trim the wick to 5mm.
* On the first burn, you want to ensure that the first layer has completely liquified, otherwise, you get wax that adheres to the edges of the candle, causing tunnelling for every burn afterwards.
* Place candle on a safe, inflammable surface, using candle holders / candle mats.
* Keep out of the reach of children & pets.
* To avoid burning yourself, DO NOT touch the glass when the candle is lit.
* Keep away from draughts and things that are flammable.
* Always keep 10cm apart from another candle.
* Never leave a burning candle unattended.
* Keep the wax pool free of impurities & objects such as matches to prevent flaring.
* Extinguish sooting candles and trim the week to 5mm before relighting.
* Do not burn a candle all the way down. Once your candle reaches 10mm, it's time to say goodbye & stop burning it.
* Light your candle for no longer than 2 1/2 hrs at a time. Once extinguished the scent will still linger and continue to fill the room.
Burning candles for longer means the wax becomes hotter, meaning it can burn off the fragrance too quickly.
